President Muhammadu Buhari felicitates with the Islamic community in Nigeria as they celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.

The President calls on all Muslims to use the opportunity of his birthday to reflect on the teachings of the Prophet, who lived a life of piety, prayer and service to God and humanity.


As they join the rest of the Islamic world in commemorating the prophet's birthday, President Buhari urges the adherents of the Islamic faith to rededicate themselves to upholding the injunctions of the Holy Quran in their personal life and in their relationship with others.

He wishes all Nigerians Happy Eid-el-Maulud celebrations.

World's best player Cristiano Ronaldo gave his fans a tour of his  £4.8million mansion . Ronaldo's super  mansion is situated in the La Finca part of Pozuelo de Alarcon - an elite neighbourhood 10km west of the Moncloa District of Madrid .

The Real Madrid superstar , who earns £288,000-a-week after tax at Real, gives viewers a peek at his bedroom, living room and garden.The 30-year-old  describes his bedroom as one of the most important things in his life; as a good recuperation enables him to perform at a world-class level on a consistent basis.

Channels TV has provided a comprehensive break down of the N6.08 trillion 2016 budget .President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday (Dec. 23rd ) presented the N6.08 Trillion 2016 budget to the National Assembly to both the Senate and the House of Representatives.

Here is a breakdown of the budget .



The report alsostates:

Deficit will be financed by a combination of domestic borrowing of N984 billion, and foreign borrowing of N900 billion totalling N1.84 trillion.

There is a proposed a 9% reduction in non-debt recurrent expenditure, from N2.59 trillion in the 2015 Budget to N2.35 trillion in 2016.

The budgeted N300 billion for Special Intervention Programs, takes the total amount for non-debt recurrent expenditure to N2.65 trillion.

The Efficiency Unit set up by the current Administration, together with effective implementation of GIFMIS and IPPIS, will drive a reduction of overheads by at least 7%, personnel costs by 8% and other service wide votes by 19%.

Guus Hiddink who was appointed as Chelsea interim manager on the weekend had his first  press conference earlier today (December 23rd) . The Dutchman revealed that he held a meeting with his players on Tuesday and urged them to take a good look in the mirror in a bid to improve their performances on the pitch. He said :


 'Yesterday I talked fully to the squad about the past. I said why I was here and I want everyone to look either here or at home in the mirror and see what everyone can contribute to the way up . Not to look back so much. We cannot ignore what has happened in the past. I told them to be professionals and look forward. 
'I want to make my own judgement by observing on the pitch, in training and inside the locker room. They have to show what they are capable of. I cannot see how the key players have a lack of desire or confidence at the moment. I cannot complain about the players.'

The 69-year-old, who managed the Blues in a similar role in 2009, admitted the club shouldn't be in this scenario after struggling this season.

The manager also showed sympathy for former boss Mourinho, who was relieved of his duties after winning the Premier League last season, and suggested he shouldn't have had to be called uponWell I wanted to start with a short introduction but I shouldn't be here half way through the season. It means things are not going well,' he added.

'I'm glad to be back, it was a few years ago when I came here in a similar situation. I'm here and it is the reality of the situation. To work with the players is always a pleasure.
'If you look at his [Jose Mourinho] record. I don't know by heart what he won but I have a lot of respect for that.People take decisions which they have taken and I have to go on when asked but theoretically I should not be here, it's true.' 

The interim boss oversaw training earlier today

Chelsea will play Watford at home on Saturday (Dec 26 ) and Manchester United on Monday (Dec 28).
